Overview:

The Retail Operations Leader is pivotal in ensuring the store operates at peak efficiency, executing corporate initiatives, and adhering to established operational protocols. This role involves overseeing the recruitment and development of team members, fostering a culture that enhances the shopping experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive store profitability by optimizing sales and profit margins through effective merchandising strategies, cost management, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies, while promoting ongoing training and engagement among team members.
  • Safeguard company assets by fostering a culture of shrink awareness and implementing robust inventory control measures.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring all safety protocols are communicated and adhered to, creating a secure environment for both employees and customers.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and develop a talent pipeline for critical roles within the store.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure all team members receive comprehensive training and necessary certifications.
  • Set performance benchmarks for team members and provide consistent coaching to ensure accountability.
  • Facilitate the growth of internal talent through training programs and promotional opportunities.
  • Guarantee the store is always customer-ready, with clean facilities, accurate pricing, and well-stocked merchandise.
  • Understand customer needs to drive strategic merchandising initiatives.
  • Engage with the community to foster positive relationships between customers and the company.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proficient in training and guiding team members on best practices for daily operations.
  • Ability to adhere to visual merchandising standards as per regular assessments.
  • Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and reaching.
