Key Responsibilities
  • Assist current clients with policy updates, quotes, payment processing, and documentation requests.
  • Handle incoming calls and correspondence regarding new or existing insurance policies, ensuring all claims are serviced effectively.
  • Engage with prospective clients or support a producer to assess their needs, gather essential information, research policy alternatives, present options, finalize coverage, and negotiate with carriers as needed.
  • Schedule appointments or client calls to review existing policies, assess liability limits and exposures, discuss additional coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, and manage renewals.
  • Provide detailed information about products and services, quote new business, process renewals or cancellations, and handle payment transactions.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying customer concerns, identifying the root cause, selecting the best solution, expediting corrections, and following up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Review audits or policies for accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections between clients and carriers.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions and transactions, documenting inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor junior staff, provide expertise, and participate in meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • Possess the insurance license mandated by your state and have at least two years of experience in Commercial & Personal lines insurance account management, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage and service assigned clients.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent phone etiquette; possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficient math and reading abilities for calculations.
  • Showcase a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and the capability to handle challenging situations with customers independently.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset, along with proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software and carrier website navigation.
Compensation: $35,000 - $40,000 per year
