Key Responsibilities (Additional responsibilities may be assigned):

  • Foster partnerships with community organizations to advance outreach and diversity initiatives.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with groups focused on minorities, women, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other protected demographics.
  • Oversee outreach activities promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion among employees, clients, vendors, and local communities.
  • Contribute to the bank's fair lending objectives by remaining knowledgeable about fair lending regulations and aiding in the development of lending services for targeted populations.
  • Assist the bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) initiatives by comprehending CRA standards, recognizing needs within service areas, and creating programs to address those needs.
  • Support affirmative action initiatives by staying informed on requirements, conducting outreach for targeted recruitment, and documenting all outreach efforts.
  • Communicate outreach strategies with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training for bank personnel on CRA, Fair Lending, Affirmative Action, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
  • Identify and coordinate volunteer opportunities for bank staff.
  • Serve as the bank's cultural ambassador by collaborating with internal teams on cultural initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline with 3-5 years of experience in community outreach, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to present effectively to groups.
  • Ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in interpreting various instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adept at meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
  • Exhibit strong time management skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing personal computers and office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
