In the role of Senior Security Systems Installation Specialist, you will be instrumental in our achievements, collaborating with a skilled team to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic security systems and data communication networks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, preventive maintenance, functional testing, and operation of:
    • Standard security and surveillance enclosures, mounts, racks, etc.
    • Access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance hardware and devices.
    • Servers, workstations, clients, etc.
    • Typical network and communications equipment.
  • Documentation creation detailing the above tasks
  • Installation and termination of copper and fiber data communications cabling
  • Configuration and programming of security, access control, intrusion, audiovisual, and CCTV system communication networks
  • Conducting system troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in installing low voltage structured cabling systems (Fiber/Data, Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection Systems)
  • Experience with Lenel, Milestone, and AXIS camera installations
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the industry
  • Knowledge of low voltage electronics, wiring, and color standards
  • Understanding of electrical color standards, connections, and components (power supplies, resistors, etc.)
  • Experience in the construction sector coordinating with various trades
  • Proficiency with electrical and communications testing equipment
  • Basic understanding of networking principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • A valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance are required
  • Ability to successfully complete a DMV, drug, and background verification
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%
  • Capability to obtain government clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of communications networks
  • Basic networking principles
  • Prior experience working with federal government agencies

Compensation: $26.14 - $31.63 DOE
