Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Administrator to join our team at Lumen Inc. This role will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing various projects involving the construction and maintenance of OSP facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, and trade workers to ensure project completion.
  • Monitor and manage the quality and completion of work, resolving issues as needed.
  • Accurately report on project progress and update databases accordingly.
  • Inspect the quality of work performed by contractors during construction projects.
  • Oversee the installation of facilities under the USDA Rural Utilities Service (RUS) and region construction practices.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure designs are effectively translated into the field environment.
  • Manage projects, administer implementation, and provide field perspective on necessary work functions.
  • Approve contractor invoices and assist in resolving issues.
  • Provide feedback to internal and external construction personnel regularly.
  • Report housekeeping issues and maintain knowledge of engineering standards, practices, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 4+ years of industry experience and knowledge in Engineering, ISP, and OSP construction, and contract policies and procedures.
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40%.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices and procedures, including underground, buried, and aerial construction of copper and fiber facilities.
  • Knowledge of central office configurations and routing switching.
  • Previous experience with project supervision, project management, reading blueprints and schematics, and experience and knowledge of building codes and relevant laws.
