Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team at gpac. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating engineering projects to ensure successful outcomes within prescribed time frames and budget parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate activities of engineering projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
- Direct, mentor, develop, and coordinate engineering staff.
- P&L responsibility with an in-depth understanding of company budgeting, spending, financial, business systems, human resource, and business development procedures as they relate to and impact Operations.
- Prepare or review engineering design plans and specifications.
- Responsible for the quality of civil engineering work performed, client service, utilization of staff, marketing, reputation of the office, contract management, billing collection, and project profitability for roadway, water, and wastewater engineering.
- Establish work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Ability to lead across various disciplines to produce complete projects as scoped.
- Direct and coordinate activities of Project Engineers and Technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Oversee work involving the preparation of design using local (State, County or City) standards at both conceptual and final design levels.
- Initiate and review proposals. Participate in interviews and presentations as applicable.
- Maintain positive relationships with current and past clients as assigned.
- Develop, review, and obtain confirmation of financial and project delivery schedule activities of design and construction as they relate to all disciplines involved.
- Assure that project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering projects with progressive project management experience is required.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Washington Required or able to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience with Civil 3-D.
- Experience with project collaboration software is preferred (e.g. ProjectWise). Experience working in and leading large teams required.
- Experienced and promoter of quality methods.
- Candidate with established local client relationships preferred.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skill.
