Job Overview

Baltimore Area Community Health Services, LLC is in search of a dedicated and empathetic CPRP/Rehabilitation Specialist to fulfill the role of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist (RS). This position involves overseeing and guiding counselors within our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). The selected candidate will be tasked with ensuring that all PRP counselors adhere to governmental and accreditation standards in both documentation and client care.

The Rehabilitation Specialist will be responsible for directing the overall rehabilitation initiatives for clients on their caseload, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a physical presence at our office locations for at least three days each week, while also allowing for some flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and support to assigned PRP Counselors in addressing client needs and achieving client objectives.
  • Conduct regular supervision meetings with PRP Counselors to review caseloads and ensure compliance with program standards.
  • Monitor PRP Counselor caseloads to ensure appropriate interventions align with treatment plans and client goals.
  • Review and approve PRP documentation, ensuring adherence to both internal and external standards.
  • Offer constructive feedback on documentation, addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Assist in resolving barriers to accurate and timely documentation and service delivery.
  • Provide guidance on clinical issues as they arise.
  • Oversee the daily operations of rehabilitation services to maintain quality care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of additional programs to enhance service quality.
  • Participate in performance evaluations for direct care staff.
  • Assist in sourcing and sharing resources for clients and staff.
  • Engage in any other relevant tasks within the scope of the Rehabilitation Specialist role.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Addictions, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with diverse or underserved populations in mental health.
  • Valid license to supervise PRP Counselors in Maryland, meeting one of the specified criteria.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
