Exempt Summary:

This role involves applying accounting principles to evaluate financial data and generate financial reports by aggregating information, preparing profit and loss statements, and implementing suitable accounting control measures.

This is an exempt position that carries significant responsibility for corporate reputation, integrity, and outcomes, which may occasionally necessitate extraordinary effort, travel, and/or adherence to strict timelines.


Key Responsibilities:
To excel in this position, the individual must competently execute each of the primary responsibilities. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Oversees all facets of accounting including general ledger accounts, financial reporting, month-end closing, and tax documentation. Additionally, prepares financial statements and conducts analyses.
Evaluates revenue and expenditure patterns and provides recommendations.
Manages cash flow effectively.
Prepares annual budgets and compiles information for the annual financial audit.
Ensures adherence to all federal, state, local, corporate, and other tax regulations. Supervises the functions of the Accounting Department.
Reviews current accounting practices and procedures and suggests enhancements. Other duties, as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:
Submits financial data to headquarters promptly.
Conducts periodic audits comparing budgeted versus actual figures and informs management of findings.
Forecasts and plans in accordance with fiscal requirements. Performs ad hoc analyses and projects as necessary.
Manages the General Accounting Department office.

Qualifications / Education / Skills and Experience: This position necessitates a bachelor's degree in accounting or business management with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting.

CPA designation preferred.
Possesses a high level of interpersonal skills to manage sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Demonstrates the ability to use tact and diplomacy in challenging circumstances.

Knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Familiarity with accounting software packages, with SAP experience required.

Ability to analyze financial data to prepare reports and provide recommendations.
Must be capable of working a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
Exhibits excellent communication and organizational skills.
