Job Title: Lead Financial Analyst

Reports to: Vice President and General Manager – North America

Classification: Exempt

Overview:

This role utilizes accounting principles to evaluate financial data and generate financial reports by aggregating information, preparing income statements, and implementing suitable accounting control measures. This exempt position carries significant responsibility for the corporate image, integrity, and outcomes, which may occasionally necessitate exceptional effort, travel, and/or extended working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

To excel in this position, the individual must competently execute each of the primary responsibilities outlined below:

  1. Oversees comprehensive accounting functions including general ledger management, financial reporting, month-end closing processes, and tax documentation. Additionally, prepares financial statements and analyses.
  2. Evaluates revenue and expense patterns and provides actionable recommendations.
  3. Manages liquidity and cash flow.
  4. Develops annual budgets and prepares documentation for the yearly financial audit.
  5. Ensures adherence to all federal, state, local, corporate, and other tax regulations.
  6. Supervises the operations of the Accounting Department.
  7. Reviews existing accounting practices and procedures, suggesting enhancements where necessary.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Submits financial data to headquarters promptly.
  2. Conducts regular audits comparing budgeted figures to actual performance and informs management of the findings.
  3. Forecasts and strategizes according to fiscal requirements.
  4. Engages in ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.
  5. Manages the general operations of the Accounting Department.

Qualifications / Education / Skills and Experience:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management is required, along with a minimum of five years of experience in the accounting field.
  2. CPA certification is preferred.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills to manage sensitive and confidential matters.
  4. Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in challenging situations.
  5. Familiarity with finance, accounting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  6. Proficient in accounting software, with SAP experience being essential.
  7. Capable of analyzing financial data to prepare reports and provide recommendations.
  8. Must be flexible in scheduling to meet deadlines.
  9. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are necessary.
