The Financial Asset Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing Projects. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and approval levels concerning capital expenditures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verifies that Projects comply with established policies and inputs them into the system.
  • Maintains a comprehensive project log, including tracking status, in-service dates, and asset retirements.
  • Reviews ongoing projects for accuracy and prepares necessary documentation for the Fixed Asset system.
  • Compiles, tracks, and reports on capital expenditures periodically.
  • Prepares project entries to guarantee accurate invoice recording.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account details and substantiating these transactions through audits when necessary.
  • Ensures financial integrity by adhering to internal controls and compliance regulations.
  • Addresses accounting procedure inquiries by researching and interpreting relevant policies and regulations.
  • Guarantees adherence to corporate controls and policies to maintain compliance with requirements.
  • Assists in the establishment of assets.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's degree in accounting or a related discipline is preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum qualifications may be considered.
  • One to two years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Access is essential.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize detailed information effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for collaboration with other departments.
  • Experience with relevant software systems is advantageous.
