Position Overview:
The Senior Client Success Strategist will collaborate closely with clients, sales executives, product leaders, and field management to proactively enhance customer satisfaction, drive retention and renewals, and uncover growth opportunities within an assigned client portfolio. This role will focus on maintaining net retention and renewals for the designated region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take direct responsibility for the enterprise usage of clients, resolving support issues, and managing renewals.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify and pursue expansion opportunities.
  • Rapidly acquire comprehensive knowledge of OpenGov's offerings and the various sectors we serve, including local and state governments, special districts, non-profits, higher education, and school districts.
  • Proactively engage with additional client stakeholders to promote the adoption of further products and enhance usage of OpenGov solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally with leadership, sales development, marketing, product, and customer service teams to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Complete OpenGov's extensive onboarding and training programs to become proficient in our messaging, products, services, and unique sales methodologies.
  • Effectively manage a diverse portfolio of accounts while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through timely resolution of service issues.
  • Travel to meet clients in person and organize regional user groups to facilitate value delivery and expansion.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, customer success, or sales, preferably within a technology or finance/accounting context involving complex products or services.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven history of exceeding quarterly performance goals.
  • Technologically savvy with strong business acumen, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to cultivate collaborative relationships, particularly at the executive level and across diverse teams.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required (sales training methodologies preferred; a Graduate Degree is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation: This position is eligible for bonuses. Final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications, expertise, and geographical location.
