The Lead Marketing Strategist plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing comprehensive marketing initiatives aimed at achieving organizational objectives, generating leads, and enhancing brand visibility for Tyler Technologies' Payments division. This encompasses assessing campaign requirements, selecting suitable communication channels, crafting well-researched content, providing creative guidance to internal teams, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from inception to completion.

The Lead Marketing Strategist will significantly contribute by managing marketing programs and developing campaigns that elevate awareness, drive lead generation, and foster client loyalty. The efforts of the Lead Marketing Strategist will strengthen the brand's position, enhance Tyler's appeal for purchasing consideration, and facilitate the acquisition of new business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance business outcomes by devising innovative strategies to convey marketing messages through integrated marketing programs, including email, direct mail, web, video, and collateral, while supporting trade shows and events.
  • Ensure that marketing communications are consistent and effectively convey key messages in a compelling manner.
  • Craft copy for marketing materials that is audience-appropriate, impactful, and adheres to established writing standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales and other internal stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and formulate marketing strategies that address those needs.
  • Employ a metrics-driven approach to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and utilize insights to refine future marketing efforts.
  • Oversee and implement campaigns to guarantee timely delivery.
  • Maintain and manage project timelines, approvals, and other project-related requirements using the department's project management tools.
  • Gather product or service information by consulting with necessary parties, including internal subject matter experts or clients.
  • Create product sheets, brochures, case studies, newsletter articles, advertisements, social media content, and other materials as directed by marketing leadership.
  • Provide guidance or mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with marketing communication channels, including email, direct mail, collateral, video, web, and trade shows.
  • Proven experience in managing diverse marketing projects and timelines.
  • Exceptional writing skills and experience.
  • Knowledge of AP style guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media, and interactive marketing.
  • A positive attitude with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Experience in the technology/software industry and public sector is preferred.
The Lead Marketing Strategist must be able to:
  • Assess the marketing needs of key stakeholders and develop and implement awareness and lead generation campaigns that fulfill those needs.
  • Comprehend and articulate key messages and objectives in all sales and marketing materials.
  • Understand customer requirements and incorporate a client perspective into communications.
  • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts across various departments to grasp product offerings and market them to targeted audiences.
  • Establish priorities and meet deadlines in alignment with marketing leadership directives.
  • Manage multiple tasks with appropriate levels of supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, marketing best practices, tools, and technologies.
