Position Overview:The Senior Client Success Strategist will collaborate closely with clients, sales teams, product leaders, and field executives to proactively enhance customer satisfaction for retention and renewal, mitigate churn, and uncover expansion opportunities within a designated customer portfolio. This role is primarily accountable for maintaining net retention and renewals within the assigned region or segment.
Key Responsibilities:- Take direct responsibility for managing customer enterprise usage, resolving support issues, and overseeing renewals.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to identify and pursue expansion opportunities.
- Rapidly acquire comprehensive knowledge of company offerings and customer sectors, including local, state, special districts, non-profits, higher education, and school districts.
- Proactively identify additional customer stakeholders and engage them to promote further product adoption and increased utilization of OpenGov solutions.
- Work collaboratively across various teams, including leadership, account executives, sales development, marketing, product, and customer service, to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Complete OpenGov's extensive onboarding and sales/management training to become proficient in the company's messaging, products, services, and unique sales methodologies.
- Effectively manage a diverse portfolio of accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction through timely resolution and escalation of service issues.
- Travel to engage with customers in person and organize local or regional user groups to enhance value and expansion.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, customer success, or sales, preferably within a technology or finance/accounting context involving complex products or services.
- Exceptional communication, listening, and relationship-building skills, with a proven history of exceeding quarterly performance targets.
- Technologically savvy with strong business acumen, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, including G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a history of fostering collaborative relationships, particularly at the executive level and across cross-functional teams.
- A bachelor's degree is required (sales training methodologies preferred; a graduate degree is a plus).
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
This position is eligible for bonuses. Final compensation will be influenced by various factors, including qualifications, expertise, and geographical location.
