Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and overseeing large-scale aviation projects with expertise and proficiency.
  • Managing all stages of the project lifecycle while aligning with organizational and project objectives.
  • Ensuring comprehensive management of project elements to achieve efficient execution within established parameters.
  • Guiding project teams, promoting collaboration, and fostering effective communication to inspire high performance and innovative design solutions.
  • Driving the development and validation of project scope, fees, budgets, and services during the marketing and contract phases.
  • Assisting in negotiations of contracts.
  • Ensuring timely and complete communication of project information with clients and team members.
  • Utilizing the Deltek Project Management system for project oversight, including team member identification, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Applying knowledge of project change management and risk management to assigned projects.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Project Architect and design team to maintain project schedules and budgets effectively.
  • Facilitating ongoing communication through team meetings and documentation.
  • Monitoring construction administration throughout the construction phase.
  • Addressing technical implications and design decisions as they arise.
Management Expertise
  • Overseeing relevant agency review processes (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.).
  • Managing budgets, schedules, and other components of the work plan in collaboration with the Senior Project Architect.
  • Mentoring and directing junior staff with accountability and oversight.
Client and Consultant Relations
  • Maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Engaging in marketing initiatives and potentially leading presentations to prospective clients.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 13 years of experience, including specific experience in aviation projects.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and providing feedback on 3D modeling and visualization software, including Revit.
  • LEED GA or AP accreditation within six months of hire.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Required licensure.
  • Knowledge of terminal programming and planning.
  • Experience managing contracts for large-scale aviation projects, particularly those valued at $200M or more.
  • Familiarity with airport and airline client relationships.
  • Understanding of FAA regulations.
  • Experience with Design-Build project delivery is a plus.
  • Willingness to work at project locations and travel as necessary.
