Position Overview
C&S Engineers is in search of a Senior Manager in Civil Engineering specializing in aviation infrastructure. This full-time role offers a competitive salary, comprehensive employee benefits, and a positive work atmosphere. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will lead a team in the design and execution of both horizontal and vertical aviation projects in Southern California. Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing project management for large and complex engineering initiatives, including budget management, resource allocation, client engagement, quality assurance, scheduling, and business development.
- Supervising engineers and designers while managing client relationships and participating in industry events.
- Administering consultant agreements and resolving critical project issues.
- Coordinating project staff assignments to ensure timely delivery of client projects.
- Promoting safe work practices in compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a preference for 15 years, including at least 5 years in large-scale aviation design and construction.
- A comprehensive understanding of FAA regulations and procedures.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- A Professional Engineering (PE) License, preferably in California or the ability to obtain it within a year.
- Established relationships with major airport and aviation clients are advantageous.
- Experience in private consulting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to set deadlines, allocate resources, and monitor project progress.
Compensation
The estimated compensation range for this position is $140,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
