Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading project management for large-scale aviation initiatives.
  • Overseeing all stages of the project lifecycle with expertise, ensuring alignment with organizational and project objectives.
  • Taking full accountability for managing all project components to guarantee effective execution within defined scope and budget.
  • Guiding project teams, promoting collaboration, and demonstrating effective communication that inspires high performance and innovative design solutions.
  • Driving the development and validation of project scope, fees, budgets, and services during the marketing and contract phases.
  • Assisting in contract negotiations.
  • Ensuring timely and comprehensive communication of project information between clients and the project team.
  • Utilizing the Deltek Project Management system for project oversight, including team member identification, consultant coordination, scheduling, and cost management.
  • Applying knowledge of project change management and risk management effectively.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Project Architect and design team to maintain project schedules and budgets profitably.
  • Facilitating ongoing communication through team meetings, documentation, and memos.
  • Monitoring construction administration throughout the construction phase.
  • Understanding and addressing technical implications and design decisions.
Management Expertise
  • Supervising relevant agency review processes (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.).
  • Managing budgets, task schedules, and other work plan components alongside the Senior Project Architect.
  • Directing, organizing, and mentoring junior staff with appropriate oversight.
Client and Consultant Relations
  • Engaging with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
  • Participating in marketing initiatives and potentially leading presentations to prospective clients.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 13 years of experience, including specific experience in aviation projects.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and providing feedback on 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software, including Revit.
  • LEED GA or AP accreditation within six months of hire.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Required licensure.
  • Knowledge of terminal programming and planning.
  • Experience managing contracts for large-scale aviation projects, with a preference for those valued at $200M or more.
  • Familiarity with airport and airline client relationships.
  • Understanding of FAA regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in delivering Design-Build projects is a plus.
  • Willingness to work at project locations and travel frequently.
