Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, your role will encompass:

  • Providing leadership in managing extensive and intricate aviation projects.
  • Overseeing all stages of the project lifecycle with a high degree of skill and knowledge, ensuring alignment with company and project objectives and standards of excellence in design and execution.
  • Taking full accountability for managing all facets of projects to guarantee effective execution within defined scope and budget.
  • Leading project teams, encouraging collaboration, and demonstrating strong communication and guidance that inspires high performance, innovative design concepts, and successful project outcomes.
  • Facilitating the development and validation of project scope, fees, budgets, and services during the marketing and contract negotiation phases.
  • Assisting in contract discussions.
  • Ensuring timely and comprehensive communication of project information between clients and the project team.
  • Managing projects utilizing the Deltek Project Management system; creating work plans in Deltek, including identifying project team members, consultants, timelines, fees, and costs.
  • Applying knowledge and experience in project change management and risk management to the assigned projects.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Project Architect and design team to uphold schedules and budgets in a manner that is beneficial to the firm.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication through team meetings, minutes, and memos to the project team.
  • Monitoring construction administration throughout the construction phase.
  • Understanding and addressing technical implications and design decisions.
Management Expertise
  • Overseeing relevant agency review analyses (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.).
  • Managing budgets, task schedules, and other components of the work plan in conjunction with the Senior Project Architect.
  • Directing, organizing, and mentoring junior staff with responsibility and oversight.
Client and Consultant Relations
  • Facilitating communication with clients, consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Engaging in marketing initiatives and potentially leading presentations to prospective clients.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 13 years of experience, including specific experience in aviation.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and providing feedback on 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software, including Revit.
  • LEED GA or AP accreditation within six months of hire.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Required licensure.
  • Knowledge of terminal programming and planning.
  • Experience managing contracts for large-scale aviation projects, particularly those valued at $200M or more.
  • Familiarity with airport and airline client relationships.
  • Understanding of FAA regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in delivering Design-Build projects is a plus.
  • Willingness to work at project locations and/or travel frequently.
