About the TeamThe Solutions Engineering team collaborates closely with our clients to unlock their full potential through the effective adoption of Airwallex products, driving their growth and success.
We play a pivotal role in influencing revenue growth across our diverse product range and work in partnership with sales, strategy, product, and engineering teams to ensure an exceptional experience for our esteemed customers.
Our team engages with commercial teams throughout the pre-sales, solution design, and API integration phases, serving as the primary technical contact and trusted advisor for our clients.

What You'll DoAs a Solutions Architect within the Solutions Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with our commercial leaders, General Managers, Chief Technology Officer, and product leaders to devise winning strategies for our most significant enterprise clients from a technical standpoint.
This role primarily focuses on pre-sales engagements and solution development, with a strong emphasis on supporting go-to-market enablement initiatives.
Your analytical skills, expertise in payment systems, and ability to engage with executives will be essential in assisting our customers in realizing the full advantages of our technologies, leading to successful implementations and launches.

Responsibilities:- Provide thought leadership and cultivate executive relationships with key business and technical stakeholders.
- Develop white papers, competitor analyses, and support the formulation of winning strategies in collaboration with enterprise commercial, strategy, and marketing teams.
- Oversee pre-sales activities for strategic clients from a technical perspective, managing the RFP process and creating proof of concepts.
- Act as the voice of the customer, providing insights to our product team regarding trends and opportunities within the market.
- Manage end-to-end implementation delivery for strategic accounts with assistance from solutions engineers.
- Anticipate approximately 25% travel, particularly for in-person meetings.
We seek a technically proficient and business-oriented solutions architect to partner deeply with our most strategic enterprise clients, guiding them through ideation, development, delivery, and scaling to enhance and maximize the value derived from our products.
Minimum qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, demonstrating strong academic performance.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role, such as solution consultant, solutions architect, or sales engineer, within a global software enterprise or payments organization.
- Proven executive engagement skills, capable of establishing strong relationships with key decision-makers and building credibility at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, adept at managing competing priorities across multiple opportunities and clients.
- A problem-solving mindset, comfortable collaborating with customers, partners, and the Airwallex Engineering team to develop innovative products and solutions.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Knowledge of the payments and financial services sector.
- Experience in hands-on product solution development, either internally or in a consulting capacity.
- A passion for continuous learning and knowledge acquisition.
- The ability to work independently and confidently navigate ambiguous situations with clients.
- A strategic and creative mindset, capable of proactively identifying challenges while maintaining a positive outlook in the face of obstacles.

Airwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. The expected base pay ranges are based on information available at the time of this posting and represent the company's good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role.
The actual compensation offered will depend on various factors, including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and external market conditions.
Additional compensation may be available, including annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation beyond the established salary range.
Benefits may vary based on employment type and location. US-based employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits.
US-based employees also receive 20 paid vacation days and 12 paid company holidays annually.
