Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Field Architect (SFA) who is ready to embrace a challenging role that will test and expand their technical skills. This position requires a blend of technical acumen and industry knowledge, along with a comprehensive understanding of the influence of technology on business operations. This is a remote opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall technical relationship with designated accounts.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects to create proposals and high-level designs.
- Assess customer business and technical needs for potential opportunities.
- Act as the technical representative in all internal sales meetings.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOW) for all professional services engagements.
- Contribute to the strategy for responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Achieve and maintain necessary vendor certifications to meet Insight's certification goals.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding time allocation, revenue, billable activities, and services rendered.
- Monitor ongoing opportunities and prepare weekly reports on revenue, gross profit, and related services.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of data center technologies.
- Familiarity with various cloud service providers.
- Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity principles.
- Strong grasp of Automation and Orchestration technologies.
- Broad technology background, particularly in data center technologies and cloud hyper-scalers.
- Ability to analyze complex business and technical challenges and formulate Insight proposals.
- Relevant educational background or equivalent work experience.
- Industry or vendor certifications in multiple Insight practice areas.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to lead discussions and engage peers effectively.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking capabilities.
- Familiarity with IGP Protocols.
- Understanding of MPLS Features and Functionality.
- Expertise in EVPN and Cisco Networking products for Service Provider and Enterprise.
- Experience with Cisco IOS XR, IOS XE, and NX-OS.
- Familiarity with Netrix products and Segment Routing.
- Knowledge of Management and Automation Products similar to Cisco Network Management tools, including Network Service Orchestrator (NSO) and Evolved Programmable Network Manager (EPNM).
