Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Architect (SFA) who is ready to tackle an exhilarating challenge that will test your technical acumen. In this pivotal role, you will merge your extensive technical and industry experience with a profound comprehension of how technology influences business operations. This position is remote and designed for candidates based in the Northern California/Sacramento region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall technical relationship with designated accounts.
- Craft proposals and high-level designs in collaboration with Solutions Architects.
- Identify and analyze customer business and technical requirements for various opportunities.
- Act as the technical representative in all internal sales meetings.
- Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for all professional services engagements.
- Contribute to the strategy for responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Achieve and maintain vendor certifications necessary to meet Insight's certification objectives.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding time allocation, revenue, billable activities, and services rendered.
- Monitor ongoing opportunities, preparing weekly reports on revenue, gross profit, and services associated with the Architect's efforts.
- Proficient understanding of data center technologies.
- Familiarity with major cloud service providers.
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity principles.
- Strong grasp of Automation and Orchestration technologies.
- Diverse technology background with a focus on data center technologies and familiarity with cloud hyper-scalers.
- Ability to analyze complex business and technical challenges and formulate Insight proposals.
- Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent work experience.
- Industry or vendor certifications in two or more Insight practice areas.
- Excellent communication skills, including effective presence in meetings and peer leadership capabilities.
- Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking capabilities.
- Familiarity with IGP Protocols.
- Knowledge of MPLS Features and Functionality.
- Experience with EVPN and Cisco Networking products for Service Provider and Enterprise.
- Proficiency in Cisco IOS XR: ASR9K, NCS5700 and Cisco IOS XE: ASR1K, ASR900, Catalyst, Cisco NX-OS.
- Familiarity with Netrix products and Segment Routing.
- Knowledge of Management and Automation Products similar to Cisco Network Management tools such as Network Service Orchestrator (NSO), Evolved Programmable Network Manager (EPNM), and Cisco Crossworks Platforms.
