Control Point Associates is on the lookout for a skilled Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is based in our Warren, NJ office and offers a competitive salary along with an excellent benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the training and oversight of survey field teams, CAD Drafters, Survey Technicians, and support personnel.
  • Facilitate effective communication across various teams and business units.
  • Support the financial management of survey projects, which includes contract preparation, billing reports, invoicing, and collections.
  • Conduct boundary analysis and computations for ALTA, topographic, utility, and roadway surveys using Civil 3D and other industry-standard software.
  • Provide construction stakeout services, ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the quality assurance of all survey documentation, including survey plans, record plots, and metes and bounds descriptions.
  • Engage in client meetings, conference calls, and coordination efforts.
  • Participate in business development activities, identifying potential new clients and maintaining existing relationships.
  • Manage overall project workflow, staffing, and deadlines under the guidance of a project manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the surveying field, with 2-3 years in a management capacity.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; SIT (Surveyor in Training) certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
  • Strong ability to relate to clients and individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Proven capability to manage tight deadlines and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication, diplomacy, and listening skills; must be accessible and responsive to client needs.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex drawings and documents.
  • Strong computer skills are required.
