We are seeking a Lead Land Survey Specialist to become an integral part of our team on a full-time basis. This position is centered at our office and involves hands-on leadership in overseeing surveying and planning operations related to land use development and municipal planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide administrative support for various surveying operations, including boundary, title, ALTA, topographic, and aerial surveys.
  • Review, approve, and seal technical documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews of all survey-related documents.
  • Perform site visits and field observations as necessary.
  • Engage in municipal hearings and client meetings, fostering positive communication with stakeholders.
  • Lead subdivision and site plan projects, coordinating with Engineers and Environmentalists on deadlines and deliverables.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, providing updates to management regarding potential issues.
  • Guide internal departments on survey-related project challenges.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate site design services.
  • Assist in proposal preparation, including project scope and fee structures.
  • Participate in business development and networking activities, contributing to marketing efforts.

Working Conditions:

This role is primarily office-based, requiring extensive computer use. Occasional travel to project sites and meetings is expected, and flexibility for overtime or weekend work may be necessary based on project demands.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in Field/Land Surveying.
  • Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Surveying Technology or a related field.
  • Professional Planning (PP) license is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in modern surveying methods and technologies.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools such as CADD, Total Stations, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management abilities.
