IEW Construction Group is actively seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to support our diverse construction projects, including heavy highway and bridge work.
The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in assisting the Project Manager by providing essential engineering support and guidance throughout the construction process. This position requires maintaining the highest professional standards while collaborating with various stakeholders, including project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in all phases of construction until project completion.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, reviewing costs regularly.
- Manage material purchase orders and oversee the procurement process.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and the scheduling of equipment and subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain field offices and storage areas as required.
- Create and manage work schedules in the necessary formats.
- Organize the required workforce for project tasks.
- Conduct site visits as needed to ensure project progress.
- Schedule and participate in relevant project meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with union representatives to uphold company EEO standards.
- Attend operational meetings as necessary.
- Execute other tasks as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in:
- Thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail.
- Familiarity with heavy construction and bridge projects is preferred.
