About the Role

Canonical, a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source, is seeking a highly skilled Partner Sales Director to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and expanding our market share through strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Global System Integrators (GSIs) to facilitate the adoption of Ubuntu-based solutions and drive business growth.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and attach rate with GSIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales engineering, and product management, to deliver on targets and objectives.
  • Lead executive-level interactions with partners and Canonical leadership to drive business outcomes.
  • Travel up to 40% of the time to meet with partners and attend industry events.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles.
  • Deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystem, as well as open source selling models.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and commercial business terms.
  • Strong understanding of partner organizations and sales models, particularly with GSIs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
