Job Title: Accounts Receivable Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our team at Real Estate Personnel. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely invoicing and payment collections, maintaining strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and complete monthly financial reports for owners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Tenant Payments: Post tenant payments and record payments for properties, including vendor refunds, insurance payouts, and owner contributions.
  • Lease Management: Abstract leases and ensure invoices are accurate and reflect lease terms, maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and send out invoices for rent, maintenance fees, and other charges, utilizing accounting software and systems.
  • Data Management: Enter and update information in property management software and databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Payment Processing: Receive and record payments from tenants, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to tenants, visitors, and stakeholders, addressing and resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Collections: Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue accounts, and notify property managers, maintaining a proactive approach to resolving payment issues.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing, ensuring a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software and systems to manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Bank Account Setup: Set up bank accounts and properties with Zego, process payments, and resolve deposit issues, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with property managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, providing support and training as needed.
  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or disputes related to accounts receivable promptly, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • General Property Support: Assist with setting up properties and units in RM as needed, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining a high level of flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications: Previous A/R experience, understanding of Real Estate Operations, financial software proficiency, analytical skills, communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, team collaboration, customer service orientation, and organizational skills.
