Sales Engineer for Power Solutions

Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluates market competition by conducting thorough analysis and summarizing competitor data and trends, while pinpointing sales prospects.
Generates sales leads by researching and identifying potential clients, reaching out to new accounts, establishing relationships, providing technical insights and explanations, and preparing detailed quotations.
Secures new accounts by responding to inquiries via telephone, fax, and email, ensuring accurate information verification and entry.
Processes orders by transferring them to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery timelines, and addressing stock shortages.
Enhances quality outcomes by adhering to established standards and suggesting improvements to policies and procedures.
Stays updated on industry knowledge by studying new product specifications and engaging in educational initiatives.
Achieves departmental and organizational objectives by taking ownership of diverse requests and seeking opportunities to contribute to job success.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited technical college is preferred, with a focus on electrical power, or equivalent military training (e.g., Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee experience).
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, with an emphasis on technical disciplines, is also preferred.
Ability to work in an office environment is essential.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in power distribution equipment sales or 5 years in technical sales within an industrial or large component setting.
Familiarity with industrial mechanical engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, or diesel machinery is advantageous.
Knowledge of power systems, circuit breakers, and switchgear is preferred.
Experience in reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams is beneficial.
Intermediate computer skills are required, including proficiency in email, internet navigation, data entry, and MS Excel; experience with a

CRM:
Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
Flexibility in working hours is necessary to address client emergencies.
