Role Responsibilities

As a Hydraulic Systems Engineer, your primary focus will be on designing, constructing, and implementing fluid power systems for various projects. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure that customer needs are met and projects are executed successfully through innovative engineering practices.

  • Design and implement fluid power systems in collaboration with sales to fulfill customer specifications and guarantee project success.
  • Create hydraulic schematics, mechanical assembly layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Establish manufacturing standards and develop programs for fluid power initiatives.
  • Assist in formulating standard product offerings and component specifications.
  • Provide technical training and support to technicians regarding component application and assembly.
  • Collaborate with project planners and contribute to project qualification and testing protocols.
  • Diagnose and refine designs, oversee pilot runs, and facilitate customer acceptance testing.
  • Offer start-up support to clients for assembled equipment and validate system designs.
  • Help overcome sales challenges through innovative solutions while maintaining technical expertise through training.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous.

Experience

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in Fluid Power, specifically with Pumps, Valves, Filters, and Actuators.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and industry standards.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of complex technical support challenges.
