Role Responsibilities

As a Hydraulic Systems Engineer with a focus on fluid power systems, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, constructing, and commissioning fluid power systems in collaboration with the sales team to fulfill customer specifications and ensure project success.
  • Creating hydraulic schematics, mechanical assembly layouts, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Establishing manufacturing standards and implementing procedures for fluid power projects.
  • Assisting in the development of standard product offerings and component specifications.
  • Providing technical training and support to technicians regarding component application and assembly.
  • Supporting project planners and contributing to project qualification and testing processes.
  • Troubleshooting and refining designs, conducting pilot runs, and facilitating customer acceptance testing.
  • Offering start-up assistance to clients for constructed equipment and validating system designs.
  • Innovating solutions to overcome sales challenges while maintaining technical proficiency through ongoing training.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous.

Experience

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in Fluid Power, specifically with Pumps, Valves, Filters, Actuators, etc.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems and industry standards.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of complex technical support challenges.
