Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fluid power systems in partnership with the sales team to fulfill customer needs and ensure project success.
  • Create hydraulic schematics, mechanical assembly layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Establish manufacturing standards and implement best practices for fluid power projects.
  • Assist in the development of standard product offerings and component specifications.
  • Provide technical training and support to technicians regarding component applications and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with project planners to enhance project qualification and testing protocols.
  • Troubleshoot designs, conduct pilot runs, and facilitate customer acceptance testing.
  • Offer start-up support for customers on completed equipment and validate system designs.
  • Proactively address sales challenges through innovative solutions while maintaining technical expertise through training initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in Fluid Power, including expertise with pumps, valves, filters, and actuators.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and industry standards.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of complex technical support challenges.
