Role Summary:

As an Environmental Education Specialist, you will be instrumental in promoting outdoor learning and environmental consciousness among youth. Your role will involve crafting and delivering engaging educational content that resonates with various age groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Design and implement outdoor education programs that cater to the diverse needs of youth, integrating relevant educational standards.
  • Curriculum Creation: Develop comprehensive curricula for outdoor and environmental education that aligns with established learning objectives.
  • Activity Facilitation: Lead a variety of interactive and age-appropriate activities that foster a love for nature and environmental stewardship.
  • Safety Management: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all educational activities.
  • Staff Training: Support the training of staff in outdoor education methodologies and best practices.
  • Resource Development: Create educational materials and resources for excursions to natural sites.
  • Equipment Oversight: Maintain and manage outdoor education equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition.
  • Hazard Monitoring: Observe and report any environmental hazards to ensure the safety of participants.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory checks of educational supplies and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to enhance the overall camp experience through special events and programs.

Qualifications:
