Job Overview:

The Grants Management Coordinator is responsible for the preparation and submission of grant proposals. This role involves determining the proposal concept, gathering relevant information, drafting documents, and collaborating with various departments to secure necessary approvals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proposal Development: Identify and clarify opportunities by analyzing requests for proposals (RFPs) and participating in strategic meetings.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure timely submission of proposals by setting priorities and target dates for information collection, writing, review, and approval.
  • Data Collection: Participate in creating data collection tools and monitor tracking data as required by grant program teams and funding organizations.
  • Information Gathering: Collect proposal information by identifying sources, coordinating submissions, and communicating potential risks associated with proposals.
  • Proposal Assembly: Develop comprehensive proposals by compiling information related to project objectives, deliverables, implementation methods, staffing, budget, and evaluation standards.
  • Document Preparation: Write, revise, and edit proposal drafts, including executive summaries and organizational credentials.
  • Presentation Preparation: Create presentations by evaluating text and graphics, coordinating printing as necessary.
  • Data Management: Oversee the collection and analysis of grant-related data to maintain quality results.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance proposal-writing effectiveness by evaluating and redesigning processes and templates.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on industry knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities.
  • Reporting: Coordinate and present progress reports, project findings, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred in public health or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required; 2 to 3 years of grant experience preferred.
  • Understanding of the grant lifecycle and knowledge of effective grant writing techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple proposals and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce quality submissions within tight timeframes.
  • Proficient data analytic skills preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with clinical and EPIC EMR systems is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Experience with Smart Sheet is desirable.
