Job Overview

Position Objective: The role is essential for optimizing constraints and ensuring the availability of manufactured materials at the designated production facility to facilitate order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the planning and scheduling of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors work center alerts and implements corrective measures to address immediate and potential supply shortages; adjusts backlog schedules as necessary.
  • Communicates proactively with stakeholders regarding the impact on customer service.
  • Regularly assesses work center and plant capacity requirements to ensure alignment with customer demands.
  • Develops and organizes workflow for each department based on established manufacturing sequences and lead times to create a feasible schedule.
  • Utilizes an ERP system to manage and apply multiple scheduling calendars for resource availability.
  • Engages in lean initiatives and conducts process evaluations to eliminate waste.

Salary: $20 - $25 per hour
Shift: First
Work Hours: 7 AM - 4 PM
Education: Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or purchasing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in ERP systems with practical application experience.
  • Ability to apply Material Resource Planning (MRP) and heuristics for specific planning tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and troubleshoot production scheduling information.
  • Familiarity with Just In Time (JIT) and Available To Promise (ATP) concepts, as well as lean methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with all management levels.
  • Experience in performing cost-benefit analyses while understanding impacts on key performance indicators.
