Position Overview:

This position is accountable for delivering exceptional service and support to customers; packaging groceries and assisting with carry-out services to vehicles, retrieving carts from the parking area, managing bottle tasks, and performing janitorial duties as required. It is essential to ensure that the shift aligns with the financial objectives of the store. Complete all other assigned tasks promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize appropriate bagging materials and techniques when handling customer purchases.
  • Manage bottle bins, maintain cleanliness of bottle machines & the bottle return area.
  • Collect, return, clean, and organize shopping carts, as well as assist in loading groceries into customers' vehicles.
  • Possess knowledge of product locations within the store.
  • Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, appealing, and well-stocked department.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
  • Execute cleaning tasks and other assigned duties in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
  • Comply with Food Safety and Cleaning Standards.
  • Follow Guest Experience Protocols.
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer service needs.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage politely and effectively with customers.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The Associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods and may frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail environment (varied temperatures) and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements may vary by assignment.
