As a Supply Chain Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency through effective management of receiving and shipping processes. Your keen attention to detail will be essential in preparing and scrutinizing documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute receiving functions and manage transactions within business information systems.
  • Validate all incoming shipments to ensure alignment between supplier documentation and physical items received, as well as the purchase orders.
  • Confirm that the quantity of items received corresponds with both internal and supplier records.
  • Coordinate all order pick-ups and deliveries related to LTL freight and small parcel shipments.
  • Comply with all client shipping guidelines and standards, including routing and packaging protocols.
  • Collaborate with various functional areas and logistics team members to implement best practices aimed at enhancing material flow.
  • Engage with the build team and engineers for Quality Control assessments on incoming shipments.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including coworkers, management, carriers, and vendors.
  • Communicate promptly regarding any exceptions or unforeseen changes in shipping, including shipment status and tracking information.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with internal customers.
  • Ensure that purchasing, receiving, and accounting documentation is processed accurately and organized.
  • Manage problem invoices through the designated platform.
  • Initiate the return process for all items, including tracking root cause reasons.
  • Assist the build team in organizing material storage areas to support operational needs.
  • Deliver materials to designated areas to support stocking programs.
  • Conduct material check-in processes to confirm delivery to the build team.
  • Effectively load and unload various types of machinery and equipment from different transportation methods.
  • Oversee fleet car sign-out procedures at respective locations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a business environment.
  • Experience in logistics, material management, or supply chain preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous.
Skills Required:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and complete tasks effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
