Job Summary:

The Inpatient Phlebotomist is a vital member of our Laboratory Support Services team at Middlesex Health. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for the collection and processing of specimens for laboratory analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process specimens from patients of all ages, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of laboratory test requirements and departmental policies.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
  • Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure seamless specimen processing and analysis.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certificate or 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience with all age groups.
