REGISTERED NURSE - OPERATING ROOM

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Full-time position available at a military medical facility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Must possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution recognized by either the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Certifications: Required certifications include:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience within the last three years, including care for both adults and newborns.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be capable of standing or sitting for extended periods and performing all necessary duties as outlined in the contract.

WORK HOURS:

  • As a 24/7 facility, work hours will be determined by the Department Chief or designated representative.
  • Each RN is required to cover a minimum of four hours per month.
  • Any hours exceeding 80 in a two-week period will be classified as overtime and must receive prior approval.
  • A meal break of 30 minutes to one hour will be provided during shifts.
  • Services will not exceed 80 hours in a two-week period.
