Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Renal Transplant & Urology-Progressive Care Unit (STC-3) team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to complex patients with renal and urological conditions, including renal and pancreas transplants, ESRD, and peritoneal dialysis.
  • Manage and access AV fistulas and vas catheters, perform continuous and manual bladder irrigation, and care for post-op HOLEP and TURP patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in unit-based councils and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices, research, and innovations in nursing, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • 2 years of experience in a progressive care or renal transplant setting.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
