About the Role

As a Registered Nurse with AdventHealth, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team. This is a PRN Couplet Days position, offering flexibility and variety in your work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the care of newborns at deliveries, maintaining skills in neonatal resuscitation.
  • Demonstrate assessment skills in both high-risk and low-risk obstetrical patients, recognizing maternal and/or newborn problems and reporting them to the physician.
  • Assist with the transfer of newborns to another facility when indicated, notifying the charge nurse and House Supervisor of anticipated transfers.
  • Notify all surgical team members of emergency and scheduled surgical procedures.
  • Accurately identify and band newborns, mothers, and significant others with matching identification bands, documenting band identification numbers appropriately in medical records.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and provide support to natural mothers, agencies, and foster or adoptive parents when newborns are for adoption.
Requirements
  • A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or degree program.
  • Current Texas RN License or a Compact RN License from a NCLA Compact State.
  • BLS certification.
