Role Overview:
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) delivers direct, patient-focused care in a critical care environment as part of a collaborative team. The RN prioritizes patient care through effective triage, assesses patient needs, administers treatments, and ensures proper patient disposition.
The ED RN provides care for a diverse patient population, ranging from newborns to the elderly.
Key Responsibilities:
The ED RN performs a variety of essential duties during their shifts, including:
- Promoting and restoring patient health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Completing the nursing process and implementing patient care plans.
- Providing emotional, physical, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
- Supervising assigned team members.
- Utilizing advanced assessment skills and diagnostic technology to evaluate patient care needs.
- Continuously monitoring and assessing patients' physical, emotional, and social conditions, refining care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in Texas or a Compact State.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.

$54.24 per hour
