Position Overview:

Role Summary:

The Equipment Operator is tasked with the safe and proficient operation of assigned machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and actively advocate for all safety protocols, including the reporting of any accidents or near misses, reinforcing our primary core value - Safety in all endeavors.
  • Complete daily equipment condition assessments and checklists, submitting them to the Project Superintendent.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machinery, including daily trash removal, weekly interior cleaning, and bi-weekly lubrication of doors and windows.
  • Familiarize oneself with all company safety regulations and the location of utilities within the work area, ensuring personal and team safety.
  • Communicate daily equipment fuel levels to the Superintendent or Foreman to facilitate scheduling of fuel deliveries.
  • Document any supply needs on equipment reports and inform the Superintendent of necessary items such as grease, oil, rags, or cleaning supplies.


Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience as an Operator in Heavy/Civil Construction.
  • Proficient in operating Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, and Dozers.
  • Experience in an Asphalt Plant setting is preferred.
