Position Overview:

The Middlesex Corporation, a prominent name in the heavy civil construction sector, is seeking a qualified Equipment Operator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery utilized in asphalt production.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to and actively promote all safety protocols, ensuring that any incidents or near misses are reported promptly.
  • Prepare daily equipment condition reports and checklists to communicate with the Project Superintendent.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machinery, including daily trash removal and regular interior cleaning.
  • Familiarize yourself with all safety policies and the location of utilities within the work area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate daily fuel requirements to the Superintendent to facilitate timely refueling.
  • Document any necessary supplies or maintenance needs on equipment reports for management awareness.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a civil construction setting.
  • Proficient in operating Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, and Dozers.
  • Experience in asphalt plant operations is preferred.
