Hampton Roads Transit is committed to enhancing operational efficiency through effective management of our Workday Human Resource Management System (HRMS). The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the implementation and ongoing management of this system, ensuring it aligns with the strategic goals of our HR department and the broader agency objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the integrity and reliability of the Workday HCM system. This includes:

  • Delivering a comprehensive Workday HCM system across various functions such as Recruiting, HR, Benefits, Absence, and Payroll.
  • Engaging in hands-on configuration and assessment of HCM setups, security roles, and operational processes.
  • Leading the End to End and User Acceptance testing phases for both system implementation and enhancements.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in configuring bonus and time-off plans.
  • Managing the design and configuration of HCM and Payroll systems, including validation and testing phases.
  • Documenting use cases and mapping data for seamless integration.
  • Supporting integration file development and testing of configurations.
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational records management policies.
  • Assisting Business Owners in coordinating necessary documentation for audits and reviews.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience in managing Workday HCM ERP system implementations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the full lifecycle of Workday HCM ERP systems.
  • Experience in vendor management and the RFP process.
  • Proficiency in mapping business processes and change management.
  • Expertise in conducting End to End and User Acceptance testing for Workday HCM.
  • Ability to prepare, test, and implement Workday updates effectively.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training for system users.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and bridge technical and business teams.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in essential software applications is crucial, including:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Workday HCM

Educational Background:
A degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field is required, along with relevant experience.

Experience Requirements:
Applicants should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of functional and technical experience with Workday.
  • At least 8 years of combined experience in project management and implementation of Workday HRMS ERP systems.

Certifications:
Preferred certifications include Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, and related areas.

Work Environment:
