Position Summary

We are in search of a Construction Manager with at least 10 years of relevant experience to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional looking to enhance their expertise and requires full-time onsite presence at various projects.

The successful candidate will be capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight, possess strong construction management abilities, and be a team player with a personable demeanor. A commitment to positively impacting the organization is essential. This role demands a well-organized and adaptable individual with substantial experience in construction management and some familiarity with project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate under the guidance of Senior Management, overseeing projects and acting as a liaison among owners, contractors, engineers, and architects.
  • Facilitate and lead regular meetings, ensuring organized and clear minutes and follow-ups.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to schedules, identifying challenges and collaborating with the team to devise solutions.
  • Conduct constructability reviews by analyzing drawings, pinpointing issues, and coordinating with the responsible team for resolution.
  • Oversee testing and inspections.
  • Prepare and review cost estimates, including initiating change orders as necessary.
  • Compile comprehensive and organized status reports.
  • Evaluate schedules, pay requests, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management as an Owner's Representative.
  • California PE or CCM Certification is mandatory.
  • Onsite experience in managing construction for public works projects.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills.
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project and/or Primavera) is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $5M to $200M.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities, with a professional and knowledgeable approach to client interactions.
  • Experience collaborating with government agencies.
