With nearly a century of experience, our client has been delivering high-quality construction projects across the Bay Area. Their portfolio includes a diverse range of developments, such as multi-family housing, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the field and project teams in a collaborative manner.
- Foster and maintain effective relationships with clients, construction managers, project teams, consultants, subcontractors, local communities, trade unions, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee project initiation, site logistics, field coordination, and scheduling.
- Evaluate all project documentation for feasibility and accuracy, including shop drawings.
- Keep project records up to date, including Requests for Information (RFIs), Architectural Supplemental Instructions (ASIs), and as-built drawings.
- Develop and implement a site-specific emergency action plan in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors.
- Engage with building inspections, subcontractor assessments, and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct daily site inspections and submit safety audit reports.
- Participate in Foreman meetings, pre-task discussions, safety briefings, and project staff gatherings.
- Manage workforce productivity and performance on-site.
- Utilize project management and scheduling software proficiently.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial construction sector as a superintendent.
- Experience in clean room construction is essential.
- Strong numerical and computer skills are required.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage project timelines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, ensuring timely information exchange.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Technical proficiency in tools such as PlanGrid, Microsoft Project, and the MS Office Suite.
