Job Overview

As a Residential Program Coordinator at Community Residences, you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and enriching environment for our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish a positive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages clients to manage their social, emotional, and physical challenges effectively, promoting independence in daily activities.
  2. Fulfill all essential duties associated with the roles of Residential Instructor and Assistant Manager, including physical tasks that may require lifting and transferring individuals.
  3. Utilize approved safety techniques to ensure the well-being of clients and staff.
  4. Collaborate in the creation of Individualized Plans of Service, which involves designing and executing tailored programs, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  5. Implement and oversee the Individualized Plans of Service, ensuring timely execution and proper documentation by all staff members.
  6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of each client's Individual Plan of Service, including their specific needs, routines, and medication requirements.
  7. Monitor and document any medical, physical, or behavioral changes in clients, reporting these to the appropriate departments.
  8. Address any discrepancies in client programs and communicate issues to the Program Coordinator.
  9. Ensure that medication administration is conducted safely and in accordance with established policies.
  10. Oversee adherence to dietary plans for each resident.
  11. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the residential environment and agency vehicles.
  12. Uphold client confidentiality and privacy in accordance with agency policies.
  13. Exhibit professionalism in all interactions with staff, families, and community members, serving as a positive role model.
  14. Facilitate monthly staff meetings, ensuring thorough documentation and providing necessary training on client care.
  15. Ensure clients engage in a structured daily schedule that includes community activities and personal development opportunities.
  16. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and participate in inspections as required.
  17. Manage financial responsibilities related to the home, ensuring accurate record-keeping of funds.
  18. Establish and maintain appropriate staff-to-client ratios for safety and care quality.
  19. Familiarize yourself with agency policies and ensure compliance among staff.
  20. Participate in on-call duties and oversee the daily operations of the residential program.
  21. Report on program metrics and compliance to the agency as needed.
  22. Conduct safety drills and maintain safety equipment in accordance with regulations.
  23. Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff members.
  24. Engage in ongoing professional development and ensure staff training requirements are met.
  25. Complete incident reports and collaborate with consultants to implement necessary client services.
  26. Supervise staff performance and maintain documentation of evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  27. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator or Director.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree with two years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with three years of experience, or five years of experience in the Human Services field, emphasizing supervisory roles is required.
