Our client is a prominent commercial construction firm specializing in both new builds and renovation projects. They work closely with property developers and have a strong presence in the Southern Connecticut area.

Position Overview

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and managing project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Creating and presenting budget estimates, progress updates, and financial tracking reports.
  • Interpreting construction plans and contract specifications for clients and team members.
  • Leading and directing construction teams and subcontractors.
  • Negotiating contracts and amendments with various stakeholders, including architects and suppliers.
  • Collaborating with project managers and design professionals to address and resolve construction-related issues.
  • Coordinating activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures and systems.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Construction Superintendent role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position as the head Superintendent.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from $3 million to $30 million.
  • Proven experience in ground-up commercial or industrial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of general building and construction practices.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits

Our client offers a competitive compensation package, including:
  • A base salary between $100,000 and $130,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Performance-based bonuses typically ranging from 15% to 25% of the base salary.
