General Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility is to oversee multiple smaller initiatives or a single large-scale project, ensuring the successful attainment of project objectives.
- Accountable for the overall performance of the project team from the preconstruction phase through to project completion.
Client Engagement
- Assist the Client Executive in securing project opportunities.
- Contribute significantly to RFP submissions and interview processes.
- Establish and nurture relationships with clients and architectural/engineering partners.
- Support the review and negotiation of contracts with corporate stakeholders.
- Play a pivotal role in the preconstruction phase leading up to the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP).
Key Qualifications
Project Oversight
- The Senior Project Leader holds overall financial accountability and operational success for multiple or singular large-scale projects.
- In collaboration with the project team, this role guides, accelerates, and manages the work to ensure adherence to budget, safety, and diversity standards while fulfilling project timelines and quality expectations.
- Recognizing that the Senior Project Leader and Senior Superintendent function as an integrated team, the Senior Superintendent leads on scheduling, quality, and logistics, while the Senior Project Leader focuses on financial management, technical resolutions, and diversity, all with a shared commitment to safety.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and architectural/engineering partners throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.
- Assist in resolving significant project challenges that exceed the capacity of the Project Manager/Superintendent.
- Develop, maintain, and take responsibility for the Operations Report.
Team Development
- Engage in annual performance evaluations for team members.
- Dedicated to mentoring, guiding, and enhancing the skills of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Field Engineers under their supervision.
- Committed to personal growth through technical and leadership training.
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the Client Executive.
- Collaborate closely with Preconstruction Managers, Director of Estimating, and Director of Purchasing during the preconstruction phase.
- Work in conjunction with the Senior Vice President of Operations, Senior Vice President of Construction, Vice President of Preconstruction, and project team to meet organizational objectives.
