Our client is a prominent commercial builder and developer. They focus on both new construction and renovation projects, catering to property and development clients. Their operations are primarily based in the Southern Connecticut area.
Position Overview
- Oversee, plan, and coordinate all activities related to construction projects to ensure timely completion.
- Develop and present budget estimates, progress updates, and cost tracking documentation.
- Clarify and communicate project plans and contract details to stakeholders, including owners, administrative staff, and clients.
- Lead and manage construction teams and related personnel.
- Negotiate and prepare contracts or amendments with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
- Engage with supervisory staff, owners, contractors, or design professionals to address and resolve issues related to work processes, complaints, or construction challenges.
- Organize and direct activities related to the construction or upkeep of structures, facilities, or systems.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Construction Superintendent role.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position as a head Superintendent.
- Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from $3 million to $30 million.
- Proven background in ground-up commercial or industrial construction.
- Strong knowledge of general building and construction practices.
- A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Competitive base salary between $100,000 and $130,000, commensurate with experience.
- Significant bonuses, typically between 15% and 25% of the base salary.
