The Assistant Project Manager (APM) plays a crucial role within a collaborative team, utilizing their construction knowledge and experience to aid in the planning, pricing, execution, and successful completion of construction projects. The APM is dedicated to ensuring that all project requirements are met on schedule, within financial constraints, and to a quality standard that surpasses client expectations. This position is primarily office-based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project planning and scheduling activities;
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of subcontracts and purchase orders;
  • Document and attend project meetings;
  • Prepare change orders, submittals, and maintain submittal logs;
  • Oversee subcontractors and material suppliers;
  • Review daily reports for accuracy;
  • Maintain comprehensive records;
  • Evaluate subcontractor requisitions;
  • Assist in achieving substantial and final project completion within the designated timeline and budget.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 months to 3 years of project management experience in a construction setting;
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Science or equivalent experience;
  • Familiarity with project delivery methods;
  • Basic understanding of contractual documents, plans, specifications, and construction techniques;
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project;
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Procore project management software;
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;
  • Professional demeanor;
  • OSHA 10 certification; OSHA 30 certification required within 6 months of hire.
