Job Responsibilities
In this vital role, you will acquire essential skills while supporting our Construction Project Managers and/or Superintendents, contributing significantly to the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Project Manager in the creation, development, and maintenance of project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Supporting the Project Manager in preparing and managing project budgets, including cost estimation and control measures.
- Helping the Project Manager procure materials and services in a cost-effective manner.
- Soliciting and reviewing pricing from subcontractors and suppliers in preparation for bids and/or change orders.
- Assisting the project team in ensuring that construction projects adhere to quality and safety standards while complying with relevant regulations.
- Recording, tracking, and distributing punch list items.
- Supporting the Project Manager in identifying potential project risks and developing effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitoring and addressing issues as they arise to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Preparing and distributing minutes from project meetings.
- Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including plans, contracts, and reports.
- Creating, managing, and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs) and Submittals.
- Assisting in the development of project-specific logistics, safety protocols, permit applications, and phasing plans.
- Documenting field issues and distributing relevant information.
- Assisting in the preparation of Daily Reports and Inspections.
- Overseeing project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and client handover processes.
- Assisting the Project Manager in evaluating project performance and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implementing lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future project management practices.
